Miner signs with Seattle

The phone rang for UTEP Miner Winston Dimel alerting him to the fact that he had just been signed by the Seattle Seahawks.

The star fullback transfer from Kansas State played in 6 games for the Miners. Catching nine passes for 89 yards

Son of head football coach Dana Dimel, Winston spent his junior year away from his father after Coach Dimel took the UTEP head position.

Winston Dimel said on his Twitter account, “Excited to announce that I’m heading to the Seattle Seahawks! It’s been a crazy last 3 days but I’m very thankful for the opportunity! Let’s get to work!”

He will next head to Seattle to fight for a spot on the roster.
