Lifeguards needed for El Paso’s new water parks

EL PASO, Texas -- The City of El Paso is now recruiting lifeguards and pool attendants for its inaugural season of its four new water parks – Camp Cohen, Chapoteo, Lost Kingdom and Oasis.

All four the resort-style water parks are under construction and will open in 2020. Each will feature a unique theme and water attractions ranging from spiraling water slides to interactive water playgrounds to inviting leisure pools.

More than 300 year-round and seasonal jobs are available. This rewarding opportunity offers fun jobs, exceptional customer service experience, valuable leadership skills, competitive pay, and special perks!

Enthusiastic, hard-working individuals who are ready for exciting and rewarding positions as water park lifeguards and pool attendants are encouraged to apply starting October 31, 2019. Applicants must be at least 15 years of age at the time of the application.

Applicants will have an opportunity to obtain the required American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED and American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certifications at multiple training events.

Individuals interested in learning more about water park jobs should attend one of the five hiring events scheduled to walk prospective candidates through the application process:

November 9, 2019 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. @ Veterans Park Recreation Center, 5201 Salem Drive and Westside Natatorium, 650 Wallenberg Drive

November 16, 2019 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. @ Multipurpose Recreation Center, 9031 Viscount Boulevard and Marty Robbins Recreation Center, 11620 Vista Del Sol

December 7, 2019 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. @ Officer David Ortiz Recreation Center (formerly Carolina), 563 N. Carolina Drive
