Community Champions: Santa Teresa cross country team

SANTA TERESA, New Mexico -- The Santa Teresa cross country team knew before the start of the season that if they wanted to be the best, it would require a lot of hard work.

No Santa Teresa team had ever placed at the state cross country meet, until this season.

The team, which is led by cross country coach Epifanio Solis, finished third at the 4A New Mexico cross country meet.

For their accomplishment they are this week's Community Champions sponsored by Albertsons and the El Paso Community Foundation.
