Arizona State University Sun Devils arrive in El Paso for the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl

EL PASO, Tx - Thursday afternoon, the Arizona State University Sun Devils arrived at the El Paso Marriott for the Tony the Tiger Sun bowl.

The Sun Devils will face off against the Florida State University Seminoles December 31st at noon. The Seminoles arrived to the El Paso International Airport around 1 p.m. Thursday.

Florida State leads the all-time series with Arizona State 3-1 and has won three straight against the Sun Devils. The teams first met in the 1971 Fiesta Bowl before squaring off in Tampa in 1979 and playing in Tempe in 1983 and 1984.

This will be Arizona State's seventh Sun Bowl; the Sun Devils are 3–2–1 in prior appearances. The team has been to the Sun Bowl twice in the last five years. Arizona State's last appearance was in 2017 when they lost to North Carolina State, 52-31. The last win the team had at at the Sun Bowl was in 2014 when they defeated Duke by a final of 36-31.
