UTEP Stumbles at home against UAB, 69-55

The UTEP Miners can't seem to find the right solution in putting together back to back wins.

For the 4th straight week, the Miners split both their conference games of the week.

After defeating Middle Tennessee on Thursday, the Miners came out on the losing end to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), 69-55.

Despite the game being tied at 27 at the half, the Miners fell apart in the second half.

UAB putting up 42 points in the second half as opposed to only 28 points from UTEP.

UAB used a 14-0 run in the second half to go up 13 points and never looked back. 

UTEP scored a season-low 55 points on 19-of-46 shooting (41.3 percent), while UAB shot 54.0 percent from the field overall. 

 The Blazers outscored the Miners in the paint, 36-16, and 20-14 on points off turnovers. 

UTEP's overall record falls to 13-10 on the season, 4-6 in C-USA play.

UTEP will hit the road, playing at Charlotte (12-9, 6-4 C-USA) on Feb. 6 (5 p.m. MT/7 ET) and at Old Dominion (9-14, 6-4 C-USA) on Feb. 8.
