No new deaths reported, nearly 70% have received at least one vaccine dose

EL PASO, Texas -- The number of active Covid-19 infections in El Paso County remained below 1,000 for a fourth-straight day on Monday, health officials said as they reported 20 new virus cases.

Active cases now stand at 911.

Also, health leaders reported no additional coronavirus deaths on Monday. El Paso County's pandemic death toll remained at 2,617.

When it comes to vaccinations, El Paso is closing in an important milestone, nearly 55 percent of those eligible have been fully vaccinated and almost 70 percent have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

There were 74 El Pasoans hospitalized on Sunday due to Covid-19, with 25 of those patients listed in the intensive care unit.
