The Americas High School Softball team celebrates their win over Flower Mound Saturday

Lubbock, Texas - Americas High School's softball team has made it to the Final Four.

The Trailblazers beat Flower Mound Marcus 4-1 Saturday morning to advance to the state championship.

It's the program's first ever time making it to the Final Four, and the second ever El Paso softball team in history to make it this far. The other team was Bel Air High School in 1993-1994.

"As a high school softball player it's always been a dream, it's always been a what if and now getting the opportunity and being so close to it on the edge of our seats for it, it's an absolutely amazing feeling we're going to play it down just a little bit so we can keep our composure and stay calm and have the most fun and make the best of it," Sabrina Carrillo Americas third base said as the team boarded the bus on its way to the Elite Eight game.

The state tournament is Friday in Austin.
