ABC News reports Uvalde police, school district no longer cooperating with Texas probe of shooting

UVALDE, Texas – ABC News is reporting the Uvalde Police Department and Uvalde ISD police force are no longer cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Safety investigation into the shooting at Robb Elementary and the state's review of the police response.

According to ABC News, a spokesman for Texas DPS declined to comment. The Uvalde police chief and spokesman for the Uvalde ISD did not immediately respond to requests for comment from ABC News.

ABC News sources say the decision to stop cooperating came after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw's news conference Friday, in which he said the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the wrong decision."
