Northeast El Paso motorcyclist killed in crash; police say he ran red light

EL PASO, Texas -- A 60-year-old northeast El Paso motorcyclist died after being hit by a car Thursday just after 9 p.m., according to El Paso Police.

Investigators say Scott Rousalis was driving eastbound on Transmountain. As he approached the Gateway South intersection, police say he ran the red light.

A 24-year-old driver going southbound on Gateway South at the same time struck Rousalis at the intersection. The southbound driver had the green light.
