Boston's first LGBTQ+ friendly housing development for seniors was vandalized Saturday.

LGBTQ Senior Housing Inc. said signs surrounding the future site of “The Pryde” housing complex were vandalized sometime overnight. Some messages included slurs while others appeared to be direct threats to the security of the building.

Signs posted on the chain-link fence surrounding the development were vandalized with messages reading "die soon" and "we will burn this."

According to a Facebook post, the non-profit LGBTQ+ senior housing says it will not let bullies and cowards stop its mission to provide affordable housing.

The new construction will provide 74 units designed for greater Boston's senior LGBTQ+ population.

Last weekend, a known hate group of white nationalists marched on Boston's freedom trail.

Boston police are investigating.
