EL PASO, Texas - Members of the El Paso community took part in the 3rd annual Borderland 100 Club 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb head of the 21st anniversary of the attacks on September 11th, 2001.

Stair climbs are events held in cities across the country, where participants climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.

The Borderland 100 Club is a local organization focused on supporting first responders, and their president, Amanda Middleton said that their mission is about making the relationship between the community and first responders like a family.

"First responders serve our community every single day and and doing this event is not just honoring our fallen, but it's honoring those who put on the uniform and going to work knowing that they might meet the same fate of the first responders of 9/11," said Middleton.
