1 person “accidentally shot” in Lower Valley

UPDATE: El Paso police say one man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after he was accidentally shot.

Police did not say if they arrested any suspects or provide any details on how the accidental shooting happened.

ORIGINAL REPORT: EL PASO, Texas -- At least one person was shot in a strip mall in the Lower Valley, according to emergency reports.

The shooting happened at 115 S. Americas avenue a little before 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

A person was taken to Del Sol Medical Center but it is unknown what their condition is.

ABC-7 has reached out to El Paso police and is waiting for more details.
