Game postponed: Tragedy strikes San Jose State ahead of previously scheduled game against New Mexico State

UPDATE: San Jose State and New Mexico State have postponed Saturday's game.

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico -- San Jose State RB Camdan McWright, 18, died Friday morning after being struck by a school bus.

The tragedy happened just one day before his team was set to take on the New Mexico State Aggies.

According to reports, McWright was riding a scooter at the time of the crash.

According to SJSU Saturday's scheduled game at New Mexico State at 4 p.m. is still pending.

"The loss of our student is heartbreaking and devastating for our San Jose State community. We grieve for Camdan, his family, friends, teammates, and the Spartan family. We grieve together and will provide all of the support that Camdan's family, our students and our football program require to help move through this tragic time," said SJSU Interim President Steve Perez.
