3 killed, 3 injured in car crash in Chaparral

CHAPARRAL, New Mexico -- Three people were killed and another three people were injured in a two-car collision in Chaparral, New Mexico on Friday night, according to New Mexico State Police.

Lt. Mark Soriano of NMSP said the crash happened at the intersection of Angelina and Steve streets around 9:15 p.m. on Friday night.

Three people had to be taken to University Medical Center in El Paso with unknown injuries, Lt. Soriano said.

There are no details about what lead up to the crash. Lt. Soriano says more information will be released soon.
