Fox News-Dominion trial delayed on eve of opening statements

WILMINGTON, Delaware-- The Delaware judge overseeing a voting machine company’s $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News announced late Sunday that he was delaying the start of the trial until Tuesday.

The trial was set to start on Monday. The judge’s statement did not provide an explanation for the delay.

Dominion sued Fox saying the network defamed it when anchors and reporters claimed the company's voting machines somehow switched votes for Former President Donald Trump and gave them to Joe Biden.

Dominion says those statements hurt its business, and Fox knowingly made those false claims because it didn't want to lose some of its viewers.

Fox denies the charges and says it was just reporting on newsworthy allegations.
