The Downtown Deck Foundation presents preliminary concepts for Downtown Deck Plaza

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The Downtown Deck Foundation and the City of El Paso held their first meeting showing the public preliminary concepts of the Downtown Deck Plaza.

On Tuesday, April 18th, a meeting was held to show the community the concepts for a unique community space that will be built over Interstate 10.

Martin Bartlett said, this is just one of the meetings that hopes to receive community input on what the Downtown Deck should have.

He hopes the space is an area El Paso families can enjoy.

The next meeting will happen today, Wednesday April 19th at the Metro 31, Northgate Transfer Center on 9011 Dyer Street.

The following meeting will happen Thursday, April 20th at the Blue Flame Building, at 304 Texas Avenue on the 17th floor.

All meetings will start at 4:30 p.m. and end at 6:30 p.m.

The foundation has setup a website to hear from the public for those who cannot attend.
