EL PASO, Texas (KVIA)- Richard Quintanar, Director of Krishna Kitchen tells ABC-7 his non-profit organization works to feed everyone, from migrants to the homeless population, or just anyone that needs an extra hand.
"The whole premise is to distribute food that is cooked with love and devotion. Wholesome meals," he said. "To promote giving. the act of giving. We get in the habit of taking so much so just to create that momentum of give."
From Central El Paso to the Eastside, the mobile kitchen brings plant-based meals to everyone no matter location.
Quintanar says the kitchen runs 100 percent on donations and the help from volunteers.
Recent collaborators with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger, the kitchen plans to operate five days a week. The kitchen will have a soft opening June 13 from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. located at 10280 Montana Avenue, Suite K.
"As long as your hungry then were going to feed you," he said.
