El Paso Giving Day: donate to our furry friends at The Humane Society of El Paso today!
EL PASO, TX (KVIA) -- El Paso Giving Day, our community’s largest day of charitable giving, is today! 232 local nonprofits participate to raise funds for their organization.
The Humane Society of El Paso is one of the participating organizations. They are raising funds for their medical program. This program provides life-saving care to the animals HSEP cares for. In addition to administering age-appropriate vaccinations for dogs/cats, performing spay/neuter service, etc. the team also provides medical care to animals that sustain injuries, are ill, come in with medical conditions and more.
To encourage donations, Anton Conlon, the vice president of HSEP’s board of directors, is doing a 24-hour challenge: “day in the life of a shelter animal.” Conlon will experience a taste of what a shelter animal does while they wait for their forever home.
