ABC-7 Xtra Sunday – The EPISD Bond and what could potentially be included

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- One of the largest school districts in the El Paso area is getting closer to making a decision on putting a big new school bond on the ballot as early as November.

The El Paso Independent School District is looking to pay for around $450 million dollars in deferred maintenance, school repairs, HVAC upgrades and more. That's been pared down from a list of funding priorities totaling more than a billion dollars overall.

With competition for students increasing - and questions about handling finances still present across the region - how will voters respond to the nearly half-billion dollar potential request?
