El Paso officials seek information regarding alleged fort building burglar

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The Crime Stoppers of El Paso and the El Paso Police Department are asking for information on a man who they say robbed a store, damaged merchandise, built a fort, and then fell asleep.

According to officials, a man broke into the garden area of the Tractor Supply store at 9541 Alameda on Sunday, August 9th at 9:09 P.M.

Police say that man attempted to break the glass door leading to the main store with a skateboard but was unsuccessful, he then damaged multiple pieces of merchandise and ultimately built a fort. 

The man, according to police, stole some drinks and snacks and fell asleep. In the early morning, the suspect fled after he was discovered and awakened by store employees.

Police say that suspect is Hispanic, with dark hair, late teens to early 20s, 5’8” in height, with a thin build.  He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark-colored jeans. The suspect caused an estimated $3,500 in damage.
