Montana in Far East El Paso reopened after flooding caused overnight closure

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Officials with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) says that all lanes on Montana West at Justice/Tierra Este Rd are now open.

This comes after the road was closed by officials overnight due to rain fall which caused flooding on the roadway.

Several vehicles had attempted to go through the flooded area but ended up get stranded in the water, shown in the pictures below.

The stalled vehicles were removed from the water and the road remained closed Saturday night into Sunday morning as crews worked to reduce the water from the area, seen below.
