One person taken to hospital after Sun Metro Bus Crash in Northeast El Paso

El Paso Police responded to a crash involving a Sun Metro Bus.

It happened on Gateway Boulevard South and Loop 375 at Transmountain.

EPPD said the call came in shortly before 8:00 pm.

When they arrived they found a Sun Metro Bus on it's side.

One person was taken by ambulance with minor injuries.

EPPD says the bus crashed with a four door sedan.

The City of El Paso and Sun Metro provided ABC-7 with this statement:

Unfortunately, a bus was involved in a collision today. As part of standard protocol El Paso Police and Sun Metro will look into the incident. A back-up bus was dispatched to continue the route. Since our buses travel over 500,000 miles each month, safety is always a top priority. We ask the public to help promote roadway safety by slowing down and being extra vigilant around buses as they make frequent stops, and passengers may be crossing nearby.

ABC-7 will provide more information on the crash once we receive it both on-air and online.
