EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Live Active El Paso is inviting residents to get moving and experience El Paso’s outdoors through its 2026 Fall Sunset Hike-A-Thon Series.

The hiking series is set to take place September 10 through October 22 at several local trails and trailheads.

Organizers say the citywide series will offer participants of all ages an opportunity to stay active while enjoying the scenery. Trails range from beginner-friendly to moderate difficulty; participants can choose hikes that best match their fitness and experience levels.

“Our Outdoor Hike Series shows how we can motivate our community to stay active while exploring the natural beauty of our local trails,” said City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department Director Pablo Caballero. “It’s not just about getting steps in, it’s about enjoying the outdoors, strengthening connections, and making healthy living part of our everyday routine.”

Hike-A-Thon registration is open to the public, and those who complete the required number of hikes will be eligible to receive a prize.
