Memorial Park Branch Library closed for repairs and maintenance

CITY OF EL PASO

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Public Libraries say the Memorial Park Branch Library is temporarily closed through October 15 for necessary repairs and maintenance.

City officials say the library, located at 3200 Copper Ave, is undergoing repairs that include a new roof and HVAC repairs, among other items.

The facility will be closed to the public, and Memorial Park Library staff will be temporarily relocated to other branch libraries.

“These maintenance projects are necessary to ensure that the Memorial Park Branch Library continues to be a safe, welcoming and comfortable space for our patrons,” said El Paso Public Libraries Director Norma Martinez. “We understand how important our libraries and programs are to the communities we serve, and we appreciate everyone’s patience during this temporary closure. We look forward to welcoming everyone back once the work is complete.”

The Pet Pantry at the Memorial Park Branch Library is also unavailable during the closure.

Officials anticipate the Memorial Park Branch Library will reopen on October 16, and visitors are asked to visit other El Paso Public Libraries locations throughout the city for services, resources, and programs.
