‘El Grito’ celebration in Downtown El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Downtown El Paso will be hosting ¡Vivamos México! Official Grito Celebration, a family-friendly celebration honoring the 216th anniversary of Mexico’s Independence.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, from 5 to 11 p.m. at the El Paso Convention Center.

Organizers say attendees can enjoy an evening of live music, cultural performances, Lucha Libre, local food, family activities, fireworks, and the Official Grito Ceremony.

ABC-7's Heriberto Perez will be at the event as one of the guest emcees.
