El Paso County offers free sandbags to residents

EL PASO COUNTY, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso County Public Works Department reminds the public that the department is offering free sandbags to residents in the rural areas of the County.

County officials say the sandbags are available on pallets outside of the warehouses, and to ensure they are available to as many residents as possible, there is a limit of five bags per household.

According to information from the El Paso County website, these sandbags are free, and there are no requirements for these sandbags.

Officials say that to report flooding in rural areas of El Paso County, please contact the El Paso County Public Works Department at 915-273-3330, or if you are experiencing an emergency, call 911.
