Chalk the Block returns to Downtown El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Chalk the Block is returning to Downtown El Paso and, according to organizers, will feature more than 200 local and visiting artists, a juried chalk art competition, and more.

The free family-friendly event will take over the Downtown Arts District Oct. 3-4, as shown on the map below provided by the City of El Paso Museums & Cultural Affairs:

Attendees can expect to see the pieces of chalk art as dozens competed to show off their skills, large-scale interactive installations, live music on two stages, as well as food and artisan vendors

“For 19 years, Chalk the Block has uplifted our region’s world-class artistic talent while providing free arts experiences to the community,” said City of El Paso Quality of Life Managing Director Ben Fyffe. “We look forward to welcoming the community to Downtown for another exciting weekend celebrating art and creativity.”
