El Paso MOWW honors tradition at 50th annual Massing of the Colors

KVIA

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The Greater El Paso Chapter of the Military Order of the World Wars
(MOWW) hosted its 50th Annual Massing of the Colors Saturday afternoon.

The event was open to all color-bearing units and organizations in the Greater El Paso area, including but not limited to veterans organizations, units of the active and reserve military, and more.

The ceremony took place on October 24 at the El Paso Community College Administrative Services Center Auditorium at 9050 Viscount Blvd.

Organizers say the event was meant to honor traditions and inspire patriotism.

"It's important, particularly right now when there's so much division in the country. I think basically people need to remember that we're all Americans. We're all, this is the best country in the world regardless of what anybody says." Jesus Beltran, ceremony coordinator, told ABC-7.
