El Paso police looking for gray truck possibly involved in deadly hit-and-run on Doniphan

Update: Police say they are looking for a gray pick-up with an extended cab or four doors. Anyone with information about the truck is asked to call Special Traffic Investigators at (915)-212-4080.


Update: Special Traffic Investigators say the female victim was trying to cross Doniphan from east to west near Borderland. She was reportedly crossing without a walk signal, according to investigators.

Police have not yet identified the woman, describing her only as a "Jane Doe" in her 50s.

The crash is described as a hit-and-run, as the driver who allegedly hit Doe did not stop.

"Investigators know possible witnesses were at the Circle K located at the intersection of Borderland and Doniphan at the time of the crash," police officials said. "They are asking anyone with information about this fatal crash to contact the police at the non-emergency number of 915-832-4400 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477."


EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Special Traffic Investigators are on the 6400 block of Doniphan by Borderland investigating a pedestrian hit by a car.

Investigators are calling this a hit and run. One person died, according to police.
