Officials: 1 person dead after Northeast El Paso shooting
UPDATE: El Paso Police confirm one man was found dead at scene of a shooting on the 4000 block of Leavell Ave.
Judy Oviedo, El Paso PD's public information officer, said the man was about 30 years old.
She also said Crimes Against Persons was called out to investigate the scene.
"We do feel that this was an isolated incident and there's no threat to the public," said Oviedo.
Investigators are looking at the area of an apartment attached to a business at the corner of Leavell Avenue and Dyer Street, by Pricks Tattoo shop.
Oviedo says officials will remain at the scene for at least four more hours until the investigation is completed.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Police have responded to a reported shooting in Northeast El Paso.
Officials say it happened the 4000 block of Leavell Ave. Thursday morning.
Police say they learned about the reported shooting just after 3 a.m..
Officers closed off the area with red and yellow caution tape around Pricks Tattoo shop, where it seemed like detectives were focusing their investigation.
ABC-7 crews caught a man being transported by ambulance on video, with a bag taped over his hand.
El Paso Fire says he suffered minor injuries.
It remains unclear how the man was involved in the shooting and why officials were entering the tattoo shop.
An El Paso Police Mobile Command unit also arrived at the scene.
