Two men arrested after fight over party volume
Update (May 12, 2025): El Paso Police just announced the arrest of Michael Gary Myers, 56, and Ransford Julian Myers, 24, in connection with this incident. Police identified the person who died as Hugo Benitez, 35.

Police officials say officers who arrived at the scene found Benitez and two other men suffering from stab wounds.
Crimes Against Persons Detectives then took over the investigation, which police officials say revealed the Myers had entered the house on Dalton to complain about the loud noise caused by a party going on at the house.
The three victims suffered stab wounds during the ensuing confrontation.

Officers booked the Myers into the El Paso County Detention Facility. Michael Myers is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked on a combined $1 million bond. Ransford Myers is charged with one count of murder, and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked on a combined $2.5 million bond.
Update: El Paso police say "what began as a family gathering escalated into violence between neighbors, leaving two individuals stabbed and another injured."
One person was treated at the scene.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Two people were sent to the hospital after a shooting in Northeast El Paso early Sunday morning.
It happened on the 5300 block of Dalton Ave.
A spokesperson with the El Paso Police Department says they received a call at 1:14 a.m. Sunday.
EPPD Investigators are on scene looking into the details of the shooting.
