Woman arrested after gunshots fired in Connecticut police station. Bulletproof glass stopped them

Authorities say a woman has been charged with attempted murder and other crimes after she fired several gunshots inside a Connecticut police station. Police say Suzanne Laprise fired several shots into the lobby of the Bristol Police Department Thursday night. The gunshots didn’t penetrate a bulletproof window and no one was hurt. Police say Laprise was taken into custody after she dropped the gun. A police report said she repeatedly asked to be killed while being handcuffed. She later appeared in court, where bail was set at $1 million. The public defender’s office says Laprise has no criminal record and is presumed innocent. The incident came nearly a year after two Bristol officers were shot to death in an ambush outside a home.
