VAN HORN, Texas -- U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Van Horn station found multiple bundles of marijuana in the desert with an estimated value of several hundred thousand dollars.

On two separate occasions within a week, agents found bundles of marijuana contained in makeshift backpacks out in the desert.

The contents weighed over 400 pounds with an estimated value of more than $350,000.
