35 migrants rescued from hot trailer in southern New Mexico

Anthony Scott Good

LA UNION, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Border Patrol officials say agents rescued 35 migrants from a trailer this week.

El Paso Sector Chief Anthony "Scott" Good tweeted out photos. He says the temperature inside the trailer was dangerous. As those temperatures continue to rise, Good says smugglers are putting people inside trailers like this and putting their lives in danger.

"Incredible job by our agents in identifying and intercepting the smuggling scheme," Good added in his tweet.

Good says this happened in La Union, New Mexico, just a few miles away from El Paso.
