Migrant convicted of sexual battery caught in New Mexico without documentation

SANTA TERESA, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens announced the arrest of an undocumented migrant previously convicted of aggravated sexual battery of a child under 13 in New Mexico.
Maximino Ortiz-Rodriguez, a Mexican national, is in custody and will be processed, Owens posted on X today.
In 24 hours, USBP agents arrested two undocumented non-citizens with sex crime convictions. Jose A. Owens did not explain where in Mexico agents apprehended Ortiz-Rodriguez, or where Ortiz-Rodriguez had previously been convicted.
In the same X post, Owens also announced the arrest of another migrant in McAllen, Texas.
