Gunmen in Mexico shoot at Border Patrol agents along the border in Texas
FRONTON, Texas (KVIA) -- Texas DPS troopers helped Border Patrol agents after the agents received gunfire from gunmen in Mexico near Fronton, Texas.

A regional DPS spokesperson posted videos of the incident on X. Drone operators captured the video, which shows the gunmen running off and seeking refuge on an island between the U.S. and Mexico.
"The State of Texas will continue to monitor the area closely & use every resource available to prevent transnational threats to our law enforcement partners & the homeland," the spokesperson posted.
