Mayor Margo courting Tesla motors, inviting company’s move to El Paso
EL PASO, Texas -- Could Tesla motors be moving to El Paso?
The car company is said to be looking for a new home for its headquarters and for a manufacturing facility.
Owner Elon Musk has reportedly narrowed down the search to a few states, including Texas.
In an effort to promote the benefits of building in El Paso, Mayor Dee Margo sent a letter Wednesday to Musk explaining why he thinks the Sun City would be the best home for the multi-million dollar corporation.
Margo cited El Paso's established manufacturing strength, young population, and bi-national transportation hubs as key factors.
