3 El Paso men accused of threatening victim with gun after causing car crash

El PASO, Texas -- Three men are behind bars after allegedly attempting to kidnap someone for an El Paso bail bonds company.

Aldo Navar Fernandez, 28; Carlos Alfredo Ortiz, 38; and Fernando Serrano, 47 were all being held in the downtown jail this weekend on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted kidnapping.

El Paso County Sheriff's deputies said the trio purposely crashed their vehicle into another car, and then threatened the driver with a handgun.

Deputies indicated the victim was assaulted by the three men in an attempt to kidnap him for allegedly failing to meet the bond requirements set by local bonding company, 915 Bail Bonds.

The man who was attacked was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
