Suspicious package triggers bomb scare at EPPD headquarters

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Police Department's bomb squad cleared a suspicious package that was discovered near their headquarters in central El Paso on Monday morning.

As a precaution, the police department shut down their headquarters on the 900 block of Raynor Street to the public after that package was discovered. It later reopened.

Police have not yet said what the suspicious package was.
