Event to help homeless veterans is happening today

The Homeless Veterans Stand Down is happening today in an effort to assist homeless and low income veterans.

Multiple agencies will gather to provide information on community resources available such as housing/utility assistance, disability services, haircuts, legal aid, employment opportunities, medical and mental health resources, and flu shots.

The event is taking place at the Armed Forces Reserve Center at 11701 Montana Ave. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. and an opening ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m.

Free transportation is available throughout the city. You can find a list of locations in the image below.
