Car crashed into utility pole on Loop 375, caused Saturday morning power outage and highway closure

More than 2,300 people were without electricity Saturday morning in northeast El Paso after a car crashed into a utility pole at Loop 375 and Kenworthy.

Police shut down Loop 375 while they used an excavator to get a trapped person out of the car.

By early afternoon, officials said Loop 375 had reopened to normal traffic and power had been restored to those impacted by the outage.
