Truck crashes along I-10 eastbound snarl afternoon traffic in El Paso, Hudspeth counties

Two separate truck crashes along Interstate-10 eastbound on Tuesday afternoon caused traffic problems for afternoon commuters in both El Paso and Hudspeth counties.

In El Paso, a box truck crashed into a cement construction barrier along Interstate 10 eastbound near the Executive Center exit on Tuesday afternoon, causing a significant traffic backup.

The incident happened 3:30 p.m. and resulted in lane closures; although traffic was still moving, motorists were backed up to the west side Mesa exit. There were no injuries reported.

In Hudspeth, an 18-wheeler rolled over along I-10 eastbound at mile-marker 83.

Authorities shut down both lanes of the interstate in that area; the truck driver was reportedly trapped.
