EL PASO, Texas-- In a tweet posted Wednesday morning, El Paso Police thanked the DWI Task force for the impact they made New Years Eve night.

The tweet read, "Happy to report that Special Traffic Investigations officers did not have to respond to any calls last night. DWI Task force officers thank you for impact you made last night. Each DWI arrest potentially spared that dreadful knock on someone’s door."

El Paso Police later retweeted that tweet with another comment thanking drivers for not drinking and driving New Years Eve night.

The tweet read, "Most importantly thank you to all who didn’t drink and drive."
