Power restored to thousands of customers in east El Paso after a downed tree damages power line

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- An outage left nearly 2,000 El Paso Electric customers without power for about two hours.

A spokesman for the utility said the outage was caused by a large tree falling on a power line near Viscount Blvd.

The outage started around 4 a.m. and was completely fixed by 5:30 a.m.
