SpaceX satellite launch visible across Borderland

EL PASO, Texas -- The rocket of a SpaceX launch of 53 Starlink broadband satellites was visible in the the borderland.

Borderland residents reported seeing a large white light moving in the horizon.

The Falcon 9 rocket was launched from California's Vanderberg Space Force Base tonight at around 7:14 p.m. El Paso time.

SpaceX has already launched more than 3,500 satellites as part of its Starlink project, an internet mega constellation, which already provides internet service for some customers around the world.
