New trail added to Paso del Norte Trail

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Bikers, runners, and walkers can now enjoy nearly one more mile of the Paso del Norte Trail, after The City of El Paso celebrated the completion of the second segment of the Playa Drain Trail.

The trail extends from Knights to Yarbrough.

Also included is recreational areas such as benches, lighting, picnic tables, landscaping, and pet waste stations.

The new trail investment totaled $1.2 million, funded through a Community Development Bank Grant.

The trail is a part of a community effort to connect neighborhoods from West El Paso to the Mission Valley, linking over 60 miles in trails.
