Texas agency investigating El Paso daycare for alleged abuse and neglect

Update: ABC-7 has confirmed that Child Care Investigations (CCI) is looking into the daycare for alleged abuse and neglect. That's a division within the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. A spokesperson say that the investigation began September 12, 2023.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A group of about a dozen people gathered outside the Little Kings and Queens Daycare Tuesday evening. They were protesting after a woman a mother made an online outcry.

The daycare is facing allegations of abuse. Police said they're aware of the accusations. They have not confirmed if they're investigating.

"We are aware of the allegations made against the daycare and are currently working with the authorities," the daycare posted in a recent Facebook post. "We are taking all concerns seriously and we will continue to fully cooperate with authorities throughout the investigation."

The post has more than 2,200 reactions.

The daycare is located on the 1800 block of Trawood Drive.
