Lanes reopen after flooding at Gateway North, Dyer in Northeast El Paso

UPDATE (5:27 p.m.): TxDOT cameras show the area cleared and traffic is flowing.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Drivers should avoid the intersection of Gateway North and Vulcan Avenue due to reports of flooding, police said Thursday.

The El Paso Police Department said at 3:50 p.m., reports of flooding at the intersection came in. The intersection is located in Northeast El Paso off the U.S. 54.

Police said drivers should avoid the area.

The Texas Department of Transportation reported all lanes on Gateway North at Dyer are closed due to high water.
