WWII vet from Texas asking for birthday cards when he turns 100 on Oct. 7

A World War II veteran from Texas is asking people to help him celebrate his 100th birthday.

Jim South’s birthday wish to receive 100 cards for his big day, Oct. 7.

His senior living home posted a photo of South with a sign asking for the cards.

He joined the Army in 1940 and was deployed to Germany seven days after D-Day.

He already has plans for his birthday cards; he’s going to hang them in his room.
