Fort Bliss soldier receives a deserving gift, after struggling with endless bills on a failing car

U.S. Army Private First Class Tycorey Dudley from Fort Bliss received a much-needed lift over the weekend, with the keys to a newly refurbished 2016 Nissan Rouge at the Las Cruces County Music Festival.

The donation was made by Allstate Insurance and Caliber Collision through the Armed Forces YMCA. Those who organized the donation tell ABC-7 that Dudley had been driving around a car that was shutting down due to the cars old age.

Dudley said he was trying to save for a new car but had to use the money he had saved to pay for parts and repairs for his car.

“I was thinking this is a blessing, this is something great,” PFC Tycorey Dudley said. “I am happy that they chose us as a recipient for this car.”

Dudley added that he thinks it’s great how the Borderland constantly looks for ways to take care of its veterans.
